Funtown is pretty quiet these days - even for low season. Current opinion appears divided on whether there will be any significant high season. Most agree that a short very busy period is likely but only for about a three - four week period.
After quite some time Submarine has been sold and is currently undergoing renovations. As of now I do not know what type of business is planned for it.
Renovations have finished in Bulldogs/Caviar which is now called Malibu.
Murphy's Law has apparently changed hands. The new boss is Séan who is from Cork in Ireland.
Funhouse is, I believe, still on the market and has apparently been recently joined by Destiny which is across the street from Metro Apartments. The story goes that Waterwall, opposite Drunken Duck is also up for grabs.
New street regulations from whoIdon'tknow now mean that from 7pm only food 'carts' positioned in the street and street restaurants sell food from then until 1am. The mobile shoe, dress, chair, junk, sticker ......... vendors are not allowed in the street from 7pm either. As far as I am aware taxis can come in to drop off and pick up guests coming from / going to airport. After 7pm vehicles can leave the street but not return till 1am. Motorbikes can enter during this time as, of course, can pedestrians.
I think this move has generally been well received as there were traffic jams of vendor carts before!
