I haven't posted anything about the soi recently. There are a number of reasons: no time (honestly), no real changes, not much happening and Songkran.
Over the last number of weeks, March / April, the soi has been busy as hell some nights and quiet to the point of near boredom on others. At Metro we had a very good March indeed but April has been noticeably slower than last year. Having said that, it could have been a lot worse.
As for changes in the street, I believe that Ralph has taken over the Red 5 shop and combined part of it with the café next door. Kebab King hasn't been opening for the last week or so - which may be due to Songkran.
Although Songkran was more quiet than previous years, there were still plenty of people 'enjoying' it! Beats me! As is usually the case, a lot of 'residents' left for other venues to avoid it. The general consensus is that it goes on too long here - but the city fathers don't seem to be listening.
