Exactly half of the matches in the group stage have been played. Of those who decided to participate in our fun prediction game the range of current score is pretty large. From the 12 games so far the maximum score possible are 36 points. Actual scores are 17 (which happens to be my own non-entry) down to 2!
Top two at the moment Gareth McF and Ger L with 12 and 9 points respectively. With 0,1 and 3 points available per game the is still plenty of time for major changes! Tonight will pretty definitely see the end of the Rep. of Ireland hopes; even a draw would leave them requiring a miracle similar to the Dutch situation after last night's matches.
Interest in the competition has been varied but for those interested, there have been a couple of decent games. The Russian team continue to impress - unlike their supporters!
