Back in December I mentioned that Jason from Champagne had taken over Kilkenny Guesthouse. Well, there was an official 'take-over' party a few nights ago. I believe it is still intended to change it into a GoGo or similar in about six months.
The lads running The Office have had a team of workers beavering away at Mash. Yes, Mash is the name of the former D&G Guesthouse across the alley from the Thai Archer - sort of opposite The Rockhouse. Yes, correct, it's going to be a GoGo and is expected to open soon.
Development of the Sun Bar into a GoGo has halted while working continues on Mash.
The Liquid Lounge has apparently been sold and may well be turning into ...... a GoGo!
Kiss AGoGo hqas opened across the street from Metro Bar and business seems to be picking up there. There are stories of another premises being converted into a GoGo in which case there mihgt well be 6-7 in the street within a matter of months!
In the Metro Bar we continue to shows a wide range of sports. We are still showing the ODIs between Australia and England with the latter three down as of now. Most cheering fans (England) say - well, it's only a money-spinning ODI!
At the weekend there is FA Cup again and then the following weekend the Six Nations begins once again. At present there does not seem to be any satellite coverage here in Thailand so it will be a case of BB - which will have to do.
A little later in February, around the 19th, the ICC Cricket World Cup begins - it is being staged in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh - so the viewing tiimes are ideal for Thailand.
